A motorcyclist was rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital Saturday morning after an accident involving a pickup truck on Noble Ave.
Emergency crews responded to Noble and 1st Street at approximately 6:40 a.m. Once they arrived, they found the motorcyclist on the ground in the westbound lane of Noble.
According to officers working the accident, the motorcyclist was travelling westbound on Noble. A white pickup truck was travelling east and attempted to turn north onto 1st Street when it collided with the cycle.
The driver of the pickup, who is from Crescent, told police there was a vehicle in front of them and simply did not see the motorcyclist when making the turn. They were issued a citation.
The motorcyclist, from Wellston, was transported by Guthrie EMS to the hospital with upper chest injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
The westbound lane of Noble Ave. was closed down for a short time between 1st and 2nd streets.
