Mumford & Sons postpone upcoming concerts due to illness

Mumford & Sons has had to postpone upcoming concerts due to bass player, Ted Dwane, being hospitalized with a blood clot in his brain that will require surgery, the band announced on its website on Tuesday.

Ted DwaneA statement was released on the folk-rock band’s site: “Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation.  Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery.”

The band postponed shows in Dallas, outside Houston and New Orleans. No other cancellations were announced.

The mega star band is scheduled to perform in Guthrie on September 7 as part of the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover.

  1. Wow ! That puts a damper in everyone’s plans. I pray he (Ted) gets better but what is Guthrie going to do to fill the void? The date is set . . . someone needs to step up and throw a party or something. Let’s make a plan B!

  2. My misunderstanding. I thought they were postponing Guthrie. They are not. This is good news.
