Music in the Park benefiting service dog for Vincent

On Saturday, July 21, the musicians of Guthrie will be performing at the Music in the Park which will help go towards a service dog for Vincent.

Vincent, 10, deals with debilitating anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The disorder interferes with his home and school life.

The specially trained service dog can de-escalate anxiety attacks to help Vincent have a more normal life. The dog can stop Vincent’s repetitive behaviors, stop flashbacks and help wake him from nightmares.

Organizers of the event are hoping to raise funds that will go toward the $20,000 goal.

Live music and kids activities will kick off at 5 p.m. at Mineral Wells Park. Face painting will be open from 6 p.m. until dusk.

The Rolled Up food truck along with vendor booths offering services such as acupuncture/massage and Younique make up.

A raffle and silent auction items such as a Ghost Walk double package, mini photo shoot, Younique make up, an Okie Mama package, Scentsy, chiropractic package from Dr. Dawn, Friends Market Boutique gift certificate and prenatal yoga package.

The free event will have Welcome Little Stranger, Justin Fortney, Ry Dalee and Evangeline, Dion Warlock and Joel T. Mosman and Oklahoma Uprising.
