Guthrie High School freshman, Nadia Stanart, competed in the FCS Research Challenge at the State Capitol. Nadia presented scientific research on energy drinks and their effects on teenagers.
She became interested in learning more about energy drinks in her Family and Consumer Science when they started their Nutrition Unit. Nadia noticed the large number of teenagers who were consuming energy drinks throughout the day.
She tested the voltage produced by popular energy drinks. Her project placed first and received $60.
