A heat advisory has been issued for most of Oklahoma, including Logan County, from noon Tuesday to 7 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to only rise throughout the work week.
Temperatures will reach 105 to 110 across western north Texas and southwest Oklahoma, with heat index values of 105 to 110 across north central, central and south central Oklahoma.
Low temperatures will only fall into the mid 70s to lower 80s overnight.
The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
