OBN targets two Logan County marijuana businesses in ongoing criminal investigations

Two marijuana grow operations in Logan County are under investigation following coordinated enforcement actions earlier this month, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.

On March 10, agents with OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Teams executed simultaneous search warrants at Super Rich 8 LLC and KKT Grow LLC, both located in a commercial business park on South Sooner Road in Logan County near Edmond.

Authorities say the investigation uncovered evidence that both businesses were operating with registrations obtained through fraudulent means.

“During the course of these investigations, we have found evidence both businesses were operating with OBN registrations obtained by fraud using ‘straw ownership’ schemes, falsifying records, and diverting marijuana onto the black market,” OBN spokesman Mark Woodward said.

Agents seized more than 9,100 marijuana plants and 41 pounds of processed marijuana from the two locations. Two arrests have been made, and one individual was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Officials say additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

OBN agents were assisted by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the Logan County Commissioner’s Office, and the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry.

The Marijuana Enforcement Teams were established in 2021 to address the growing presence of criminal organizations operating illegal marijuana grows across the state. According to OBN, the number of licensed grow operations in Oklahoma has dropped significantly—from approximately 8,400 in 2022 to around 1,400 active registrations today.

Since 2022, OBN reports agents have seized more than 2.1 million illegal marijuana plants, over 250,000 pounds of processed marijuana, and made more than 400 arrests, with additional cases still pending.

Authorities encourage anyone with information related to drug or human trafficking to contact OBN’s anonymous tip line at 800-522-8031 or reach out through the agency’s Facebook page.
