On Friday, September 26, at 6 p.m., the Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library will host a book signing with travel writer Matt Kirouac. Kirouac’s most recent book, “Secret Oklahoma: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure,” focuses on Oklahoma’s lesser-known features.
A transplant to Oklahoma City after two and a half years of RV living, Kirouac is an award-winning travel, culture and food writer with bylines in Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic, AFAR, Thrillist, InsideHook, Midwest Living and others. He also serves as the senior dining writer at 405 Magazine, and in 2023, was given a Hometown Hero award by Visit OKC. He is the author of “Unique Eats & Eateries of Chicago” and “Secret Oklahoma,” both published by Reedy Press, and currently serves as communications chair for Oklahoma’s largest and only Oscars-qualifying film festival, deadCenter Film.
This event is free to attend, and no registration is required. Copies of “Secret Oklahoma” will be available for purchase.
