With the 2017-18 school year right around the corner, the state of Oklahoma is offering a tax free weekend Aug. 4-6. It applies to clothing and shoes and is intended to coincide with back-to-school shopping.
The weekend sale is set to begin at 12:01 a.m. August 4, and ends at midnight on August 6. You can purchase an unlimited number of qualifying tax-free items during this time.
According to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, all clothing and shoes individually priced under $100 will be tax free.
You should also expect to pay sales tax on fashion accessories such as jewelry, scarves, non-prescription eyeglasses and other personal adornments during the sales tax holiday weekend.
