Over the weekend, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reported the first COVID related death in Guthrie.
The state agency reported a female victim, in the age category of 65 or older, in or around the surrounding Guthrie area (73044 zip code).
On Monday, there were a confirmed 383 active cases in Logan County, including 274 in the area of Guthrie (zip code).
In total, Logan County has 1,786 cases of the virus with 1,399 recoveries and four deaths.
Health officials said recovered means the patient is not hospitalized or deceased and it has been 14 days since the onset of symptoms or report.
Guthrie has seen 1,079 confirmed COVID cases with 804 recovering from the virus.
Fifteen more virus-related deaths and 1,903 new coronavirus cases were reported across the state, according to the daily numbers supplied by OSDH.
A total of 218,389 Oklahomans have tested positive for COVID-19 and the total number of virus-related deaths increased to 1,911, the state health department said on Monday.
The state health department said the seven-day rolling average for new cases reported is 2,949.
A total of 13,371 Oklahomans have been hospitalized due to the virus with 1,517 in acute care OSDH licensed facilities and 119 in other types of facilities as of Friday evening.
So far, 184,736 Oklahomans have recovered from the virus with 1,794 more cases considered recovered since Sunday.
