Volunteers at one local food bank are hoping to sell tickets like hot cakes for a fundraiser breakfast scheduled for this weekend.
God’s Food Bank in Guthrie will be hosting the breakfast on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church.
Visitors can purchase a ticket for $5 each and receive a full meal of pancakes, eggs, a meat and juice.
Organizers say they have printed 300 tickets so far, but are hoping to sell more than that.
The food bank serves all of Logan County and usually feeds 500 families per week.
All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the food bank.
The First United Presbyterian Church is located at 102 E. Noble in Guthrie.
