Peppers Ranch Foster Care Community, the first in the State of Oklahoma, is located on 240 acres North of Edmond and Southwest of Guthrie and is home to seven families and forty-one children, of which twenty-two have a sibling living at the ranch. The first home was completed in April, 2002, the McClendon Equestrian Center was completed in 2005 and the Watts Ag Center was finished in May, 2006. In 2010, we completed the construction of two additional homes, a 9,000 sq. ft. Learning Center and in 2011 three more new homes, all debt free.

The ranch also has an 8 acre stocked pond, baseball field, playground, and campsites. As part of our ‘Roots and Wings’ Capital Campaign, we began construction of three more homes in June, 2012. The additional homes will enable the ranch to become home to total of ten families and 60 total children.

Peppers Ranch Foster Care Community provides the necessary resources to assist foster parents in sustaining a commitment to the children in their care. The ranch provides art therapy, and equestrian riding program, FFA and 4-H Chapter, healthy cooking for kids, reading and academic tutoring. Peppers Ranch’s goal is to provide tutoring and reading programs for children to enable them to continue on with education and break the cycle of abuse and neglect from which they have come. Certified teachers are hired independently to provide tutoring for the foster children at Peppers Ranch, children in the county, and area wide through Oklahoma’s Department of Human Services.
