Peppers Ranch to celebrate grant From Life.Church

Families who live at Peppers Ranch, along with staff, mentors, and volunteers, will enjoy an evening of fun, food and games to celebrate a $20,000 grant to continue building the loving relationships that are restoring the lives of youth in the Oklahoma City area.

After learning about Peppers Ranch’s goal of breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect through loving homes, counseling and growth-oriented activities, Life.Church chose Peppers Ranch as one of their local mission partners in 2015.

Now, more than 55 volunteers from Life.Church locations throughout the OKC metro are helping create a network of caring foster parents and adult mentors that children can trust. These volunteers are actively building restorative relationships through regular visits and growth-oriented activities like equestrian riding, pet therapy, sports, and tutoring.

The event is set for Thursday, Feb. 18 at Peppers Ranch, located in Guthrie at 3200 S. Western Ave. The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with the grant presentation set for 5:30 p.m. Peppers Ranch Executive Director, Tonya Ratcliff, will accept the grant from Life.Church Pastor Tony Doland.

Peppers Ranch’s Foster Care Community is home to Oklahoma’s abused and neglected children. Peppers Ranch provides the necessary resources and services to foster parents.

Life.Church, based out of Edmond, is a multi-site church with 24 physical locations in seven states. Messages are are broadcasted to more than 170 worship experiences each weekend at physical locations, and throughout the week at www.live.life.church.
