A single-engine plane made an emergency landing on the east side of Guthrie Friday afternoon.
Guthrie Fire Chief Eric Harlow said the six-seat plane lost power to the engine. It emergency-landed into a field just northeast of Highway 77 and Cooksey Road.
The plane, a Bonanza A36, was occupied with two people and both were uninjured and walked away from the crash.
GNP has learned the plane was headed to Grand Lake, but turned around several minutes into the flight when engine trouble began to start. The pilot elected to land the plane in the open field instead of returning back to the airport.
