The June 28 primary election is set for tomorrow (Tuesday) for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and District 2 County Commissioner races.

Logan County Election Board Secretary Erin Dorio says there were a total of seven ballots printed for the various districts within the county.
All county voters will have a vote in the sheriff’s race.
Incumbent Sheriff Jim Bauman will go up against six opponents, including Damon Devereaux, Mike Lanoy, Veronica Thomas, Ben McHand, John Marshall and Robert Hardee. All seven candidates will appear on the Republican ballot. Related article: Logan County Candidate Forum 2016: Logan County Sheriff
In the county commissioner’s race, incumbent Mike Pearson is being challenged by Don Spencer and Salome Vaughn. All three are represented on the Republican ballot. If a candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote in the June 28 election they will be declared the winner. If a candidate is unable to achieve 50 percent of the vote, the top two candidates will have a runoff in the August 23 election.
In state races, all Logan County Republican voters will choose from the incumbent Frank D. Lucas or his challenger Desiree Brown for the U.S. Representative District 3. On the Libertarian ballot, voters will decide between Robert T. Murphy and Dax Ewbank.
Voters in precinct 201, will decide on the State Rep. District 33 between Greg Babinec and Connie A. Parker. Voters in precinct 203 will vote for either the incumbent Kevin Wallace or his challenger Steve Hadaway.
The polls will be open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
