In a display of community spirit, six employees from Prism Bank participated in this year’s Guthrie Bake-Off, raising a record amount for the annual Stuff the Bus program.
Last week the dedicated employees from Prism Bank, located at 2610 S. Division St., joined forces to participate in the Guthrie Bake-Off, an event organized in collaboration with the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce. The annual Stuff the Bus program aims to raise money to purchase school supplies for Guthrie public schools, and this year’s bake-off proved to be a resounding success.
Participants Jill Price, Dana Hornbeck, Robert Banks, Ann Keawe, Brent Williams, and Katrina Hertensen brought their famous baked goods to be judged by local celebrities. Price claimed the sweet victory with her strawberry cake.
Customers and citizens eagerly purchased the delicious treats, contributing to the impressive fundraising total of $2,314.50, surpassing the previous record of $2,105.
The event was judged by a panel of notable local figures, including Mayor Steve Gentling, Senator Chuck Hall, Representative Collin Duel, Guthrie Chamber of Commerce President Brittany Timmons, Guthrie Ministerial Alliance Leader and Pastor Ronnie Fields, and Guthrie News Page Editor Chris Evans.
The remarkable funds raised at the bake-off will support Guthrie students and teachers, ensuring they have the necessary supplies for a successful school year. The collaborative effort of Prism Bank employees and the community underscores the town’s commitment to education and collective well-being.
