The Guthrie community is coming together in a heartwarming show of support for one of their own, Rhonda Ward, through a special event titled “Rally for Rhonda.”
The event, scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, from 12 – 8 p.m. at the Logan County Fairgrounds (1201 S Division St, Guthrie), aims to raise funds for Rhonda’s dream trip to Alaska — a meaningful bucket list journey.
Rhonda, described by friends and family as having “one big heart,” is battling serious health issues. The community is rallying behind her with an afternoon of shopping, food trucks, vendors, and giving — all to help send Rhonda on the trip of a lifetime.
Fifteen percent of all vendor and food truck sales from the event will be donated directly to support Rhonda’s travel expenses. The event is free to attend, and donations of any amount are encouraged and greatly appreciated.
“You shop, you eat, she sails,” is the simple but powerful message behind the fundraiser — showing how a small act of support can help grant one big wish for someone who has given so much to others.
For those unable to attend but still wanting to contribute, donations can be made directly through:
Cash App: $Rwardbucketlist
Venmo: @Rwardbucketlist
The event’s organizer, who can be reached at 405-269-4943, is coordinating the effort and encourages everyone to come out, enjoy the event, and show Rhonda that Guthrie stands behind her.
