Red Flag Warning issued as high fire danger looms over Oklahoma

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for western, northwestern, and northern Oklahoma, including Logan County, as a high fire danger approaches on Monday.

Heavy wind gusts, combined with low humidity and high temperatures, create conditions ripe for wildfires, especially concerning after several fires burned statewide last week.

With strong winds expected to persist on Tuesday, officials urge Oklahomans to stay weather-aware and take precautions to prevent potential fires.

Last week the Logan County Board of County Commissioners issued a county-wide burn ban. Related article: County Commissioners approve county-wide burn ban in emergency meeting
