The Guthrie Police Department is reminding all residents of Guthrie as well as Logan County to be vigilant in locking their vehicles during this holiday season.
“Be sure all items of value, such as purses and iPods, are taken inside your house each night and not left inside your vehicle. When out and about, be sure to lock all valuables in the trunk or in a glove box,” Det. Jeremy Thorne said.
Thorne stated that in the past, burglars were on foot as well as in vehicles. He goes on to say to be observant, and if you see suspicious vehicles or people who you don’t normally see in your neighborhood, please call and report it to the Guthrie Police Department at (405) 282-3535 or the Logan County Sheriff’s office at (405) 282-4100.
“We need to work together to have a safe and merry holiday season,” Thorne concluded with.
