Two pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter for the Bluejays in a 14-0 victory in five innings over Northwest Classen on Monday at Squires Field.
Zane Maltz and Reed Roberts tallied 10 strikeouts and walked four in completing the no-no in the season opener.

Roberts (1-0) had an impressive outing against NW Classen’s lineup. Roberts held NW Classen hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six.

Roberts (1-0, 1-0) showed his talents on both sides of the diamond with a strong game on the rubber and at the plate to earn the Legends Legend of the Game.
Roberts had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and second innings.
Ten runs in the first three innings helped Guthrie blow out NW Classen. A two-run double by Roberts, an error, a groundout by Camden Wilcott, and an RBI single by Maltz in the first inning and a wild pitch, an error, and a passed ball during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Jays.
Wilcott, Jacob Chappell and Roberts helped lead Bluejays. They combined for four hits and four RBIs.
