Schedule: Guthrie Fall Homecoming 2018

Homecoming is September 28, where the Guthrie Bluejays will be playing the Guymon Tigers at Jelsma Stadium with a kickoff set for 7 p.m. The annual coronation and crowning of the queen will take place during halftime of the football game.

This year’s theme is “Where Our Story Began.”

Schedule of Events on September 28:

8:00 – 8:55 a.m.    Alumni Registration at the H.S. (coffee, donuts, reunion class shirts)

9:00 – 11:00 a.m.    Alumni Program at the H.S.

(Performances by the GHS Band, Choir, Pied Pipers, Drama Club, Cheerleaders, and presentation of football/organizational royalty and new Hall of Fame inductees.)

11:15 a.m.    Student Assembly at H.S.  (time approximate)

1:10 p.m.    District-wide early dismissal; buses will run at this time.

1:45 p.m.    Parade line-up

2:30 p.m.    Parade Begins

The parade route starts at the Masonic Temple (Capitol and Oklahoma) travels west on Oklahoma, turns south on 2nd, turns east on Harrison Ave. ending at Jelsma Stadium.

7:00 p.m.    Kick-off at Jelsma Stadium with Tailgating beginning at 5:30 p.m.

  2. John — ROFLMAO!!! They probably didn’t. Better call an emergency board meeting to vote on whether or not to submit a formal request to the Masons asking for permission. Of course the Masons will need to review the request at their next meeting, and then they’ll have to vote. So….I think we better reschedule homecoming, just to be safe.

  3. I may be wrong and yet I may be right but one of the Hall of Fame member has an incorrect year after his name.
    William “Bill” Wells should be 1982 not 1992 unless he continued to wrestle 10 years after graduating from GHS.
