School board filing dates announced by Election Board

Candidates for the Board of Education in Logan County school districts file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013.

Erin Dorio, Secretary of the Logan County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013.

The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled February 11, 2014. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the total votes cast in this election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in an election on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Offices for which Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office include the following:

Autry Technology School District—Office No. 2 (5-year term)

Cashion School District—Office No. 4 (5-year)

Covington-Douglas School District—Office No. 4 (5-year)

Coyle School District—Office No. 4 (5-year)

Crescent School District—Office No. 4 (5-year)

Deer Creek School District—Office No. 4 (5-year)

Eastern Oklahoma Technology Ctr #23 School District—Office No. 3 (5-year)

Edmond School District—Office No. 4

Francis-Tuttle Technology Center #21 School District—Office No. 4 (5-year)

Gordon Cooper Technology Center #5 School District—Office No. 1 (5-year)

Guthrie School District—Office No. 3 (4-year) and Office No. 4 (4-year)

Luther School District—Office No. r (5-year)
