Angel Case said she could not wait for the day her husband Sean Case was able to regain conscious and meet his hero. On Monday, Sean met his hero who wears a Logan County Sheriff’s uniform.
“I hope Sean can one day shake his hand,” Angel said last month when Sean stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest inside their home.
Sgt. Marcus Williams, who was yet to go on his shift with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, heard the radio dispatch call go out to Guthrie EMS and just happened to be near the home. For 12 straight minutes, Williams performed CPR to keep Case alive until paramedics could arrive.

From the hospital, Sean called Williams on Monday morning and expressed how much he would like to meet him. Within hours, Williams made the trip to the hospital.
“We shook hands forever,” Williams said who has routinely checked in with the Case family to further learn about Sean’s recovery.
Sean and Williams laughed together on a variety of topics for an hour.
Despite Sean’s ongoing condition he has a fighting attitude.
“Sean has an amazing sense of humor even in his current condition. He continued to make jokes making me laugh uncontrollably,” Williams said.
During the visit, Williams presented Sean with his personal Sheriff’s Challenge Coin and his LCSO patch from an older uniform.
Nothing really unusual coming from a hero.
Sean says it meant the “absolute world” to him.
As much as the visit meant to Sean, the same could be said for Williams.
“I was overwhelmed by the amazing power of God.”
The two pledged to be lifetime friends.
Angel says her husband’s condition continues to improve, but says doctors believe a heart transplant is necessary.
“Besides his heart and kidneys, everything seems to be in good shape,” Angel said. “Where he is today is amazing! I’m so glad I can actually talk to him again.”
So is Sgt. Williams of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
