SH-33 narrows, shifts at N. Drexel St. in Guthrie through July

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced the eastbound and westbound lanes on State Highway 33 (Noble Ave.) will be intermittently narrowed and lanes shifted with flaggers on site between N. Drexel St. and N. Second St. in Guthrie through 6 p.m. Monday.

The process will continue from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through July for resurfacing work.

Motorists should expect delays and congestion in the work zone and also expect intermittent side street and driveway closures as work progresses.

Additionally, motorists can expect northbound and southbound US-77/S. Division St. to be intermittently narrowed and lanes shifted between SH-33 and E. Industrial Rd. starting in early August also for resurfacing.

Work on both areas is part of a nearly $2.5 million resurfacing project awarded to Haskell Lemon Construction Co. and is expected to complete by fall 2020, weather permitting.
