The Logan County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in several upcoming community events. The Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone to come out and meet the deputies and administration and explore law enforcement vehicles and equipment.
“This is a great opportunity to interact with citizens, answer questions and let children get to feel comfortable with law enforcement,” Chief Deputy Richard Stephens said.
The first opportunity will be the Coyle Fall Parade / Festival on Saturday October 11, at 10 a.m.
“We will have Deputies in the parade as well as operating our Command Post. Children and adults will be able to ask questions, interact with the deputies, and explore their vehicles,” Stephens said.
The St. Mary’s Fall Festival will be October 24, at 5 p.m. Deputies will be on site to interact with the students and their families.
“This has been a very interactive event for us in the past, and we have received great reviews from the participants and the staff at the school,” Stephens added.
On Oct. 29, at 6 p.m., The CrossPointe Church Fall Festival in Crescent will take place.
“We have been invited to participate in this community wide event. The Sheriff’s Office will have the Command Post, deputies, and patrol vehicles on site. Children and adults will be able to ask questions, interact with the Deputies and explore their vehicles.”
The Guthrie Halloween Celebration is set for Oct. 31, beginning at 5 p.m. in downtown Guthrie.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office will be providing Halloween treats along with child safety information to children and adults at these events. Deputies will be on hand to answer questions, provide tours, and interact with the public.
“We can also provide information about the variety of services the Sheriff’s Office provides including Neighborhood Watch, Special Emphasis Patrol, school resources, handgun applications and more,” Stephens said.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone who has questions, or just wants to get to know some of the brave men and women who serve the community every day. Please make plans to come out and meet the Deputies and Administration during these events. We would love to meet you. The most common denominator in Community Policing is to make and build relationships with the public.”
