Sheriff’s Office searching for potential victims from offender

Logan County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Registered Sex Offender, Brandon Gregory Whitson. Whitson, 27, is accused of Blackmailing a former girlfriend, the estranged mother of his child to provide him with obscene and pornographic photographs and her undergarments.

Whitson allegedly repeatedly threatened to post obscene, pornographic photographs of his victim unless she complied with his demands.

Whitson is also charged with violations of the Oklahoma Computer Crime Act and Stalking and is accused of actually posting the photos after his victim did not comply with his demands. The photos were posted to a website based out of Hungary.

The website is a file sharing network and the victim’s photographs were placed into a section for Oklahoma based photographs. Whitson is accused of labeling the photographs of his victim with her name, telephone number and place of employment in an attempt to coerce the victim to comply with his demands. As a result of the initial investigation, Investigators served a search warrant on Whitson’s home to locate evidence of these crimes.

Investigators fear that this is an escalation of behavior and that this is not the only incident where this has happened. Investigators are searching for potential additional victims from this offender.
