With about 6,500 of miles traveled over the summer, the Oklahoma City Stars capped their summer tour off with a gold ball with the help of a local product.
Kamber Smedley, a junior at Guthrie High School, and the Stars were a perfect 8-0 over the weekend in Edmond at the Mid America Youth Basketball tournament.
The Stars have been to Kansas City, Las Vegas, Chicago (Nike Invitational Tournament), Frisco, TX, and Augusta, GA.
In addition to the MAYB win, they also won the Southdown in the South Tourney last week in Frisco, TX.
Smedley has earned valuable minutes as a freshmen and sophomore for Guthrie and is expected to have an increased role as a junior.
