The bad news for students is they will be spending three days in the classroom that they were scheduled to miss in the months of March and April. The good news, however, is the school calendar year has not been extended – so far.
After snow and ice canceled classes for three straight days late last week and early this week, Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson announced the three scheduled snow days will now be scheduled school days. Classes will now be held on Mar. 14, Mar. 28 and April 4.
Simpson added his office will monitor the amount of school hours needed if any future classes are canceled.
In his report in the Board of Education meeting, Simpson announced the Teachers of the Year by building.
