The Guthrie soccer teams returned back to their home field Tuesday evening as they entertained the Tahlequah Tigers and splitting the double-header.
The Lady Tigers gave Guthrie their ninth loss of the season with a 5-0 win. The Lady Jays (2-9) have been only to score one goal in their last six games and have dropped their last eight games.
The boy’s team, however, snapped their three game losing streak with a huge 3-0 win. The Jays are now 6-5 overall and 2-3 in district play with a win over the 11th ranked Tahlequah club. The Jays are fighting for the fourth and final playoff spot in district three along with Tahlequah.
Guthrie is set to conclude their four game home stand Friday evening with Tulsa Hale for Senior Night. However, Hale has forfeited some games this season due to the lack of players. If so, those would results in wins for Guthrie. The last regular season game will be on the road, next Tuesday, against Tulsa Rogers
