The Guthrie High School softball team is preparing for a Monday night showdown with the Woodward Boomers to begin a busy week of softball.
Guthrie goes for the district sweep over the Boomers after collecting a 7-6 win in Woodward earlier this year.
Overall, the Jays are supporting a .500 record, but a 4-1 district record.
Piedmont remains at the top of the district standings with a 3-0 start.
At the end of the season, the top two teams in the district will host regionals.
Guthrie will look to stop a four-game losing skid from the Bethany Tournament.
The Jays will be back in district play at Noble on Tuesday and back home with the Lady Bears on Thursday.
The week will end with an annual trip to the Durant Tournament. The Jays are expected to play El Reno, Broken Bow, Durant JV and Lone Grove.
