Splash pad, playgrounds to open in City parks

Beginning this week, parks and public amenities will reopen after many of them were closed down in March due to the pandemic.

In a release on Wednesday by City Manager Leroy Alsup, effective Friday, June 5 park and public amenities shall be open without any limitation to group size, provided patrons follow CDC (Center for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) sanitation and disinfecting protocols and social distancing guidelines.

Included in the amenities is the splash pad inside Banner Park.

Pavilions/SheltersSkate Parks

The playground and splash pad inside Mineral Wells Park remains under construction and remains closed off.
