The burn ban issued by Governor Mary Fallin on May 5 covering 36 counties, including Logan County, is set to expire on Wednesday.
According to a news release, significant recent rainfall was the main reason the ban will not be renewed.
However, county commissioners still have the authority to declare burn bans in their counties.
Fallin said recent rains helped mitigate the danger of wildfires and brought good news for some farmers and ranchers, but urges residents to remain vigilant against wildfire risks.
