A driver crashed a vehicle after he lead Logan County deputies on a pursuit with speeds reaching 100 mph on Tuesday evening.
Just after 10 p.m., a Logan County deputy spotted a four-door, silver Sedan near Waterloo Road and Coltrane. The deputy turned around on the vehicle and that’s when the vehicle accelerated east on Waterloo.
With speeds reaching triple digits, the vehicle traveled north on Sooner Rd. until reaching Division Street. The driver then turned around and traveled south until reaching Seward Road where he turned eastbound.
As the driver approached the first curve near Midwest Blvd. he was unable to negotiate the turn and traveled approximately 50 yards off the roadway.
After deputies were able to locate the upside down vehicle in the tall brush, the suspect was pinned for a short time until he was able to escape the vehicle with assistance from deputies.
The driver was able to walk to the ambulance, but was in obvious pain with blood on his face and hair. He was treated at the scene by Guthrie EMS and later rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital.
His condition and name was not released at the scene.
