A teenage driver appears to have failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Highway 33 after exiting Interstate 35 resulting in a two-vehicle accident.

A Stillwater female driver exited I-35 at mile marker 157 and attempted to turn onto Highway 33 when her white, four door Volkswagen struck a black, Chevrolet Silverado pick up truck, who was traveling west on Highway 33.

The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Monday resulting traffic to be diverted around the scene. Photo Gallery

The female driver was transported to a local hospital with an arm injury and was removed from the vehicle via back board by the Guthrie EMS crew. All others involved in the accident were visibly shaken, but did not sustain any injuries.

  1. Turning west there is scary. Often I’ll pull out into the median, only to have someone behind me pull into the median along side of me. They’re wanting to turn west too.
