The Territorial Christmas season in Guthrie was officially kicked off on Saturday evening with a light parade and the inauguration of a Territorial Governor.
The annual light parade started the evening down Oklahoma Ave. Afterwards, the crowds then gathered in front of the Post Office’s steps to hear Christmas music and the announcement of Stefani Fortney as the Territorial Governor.
The event was pushed back a week following last week’s ice storm.
Next up is the Historic Home tours and the first of two Victorian Walks on Saturday, Dec. 12.
