The association donated $550 to the cause that will help provide a happy Christmas to those children who otherwise may not have received gifts due to family and/or financial hardships. Fund-raising efforts throughout the year make this event possible.
The donation was received by Officer Jason Hamilton of the Guthrie Police Department at the association’s monthly meeting in their new building located at Drexel and Oklahoma.
The Territorial Riders first met in 2003, and in 2004 was accepted into the Confederation of Clubs. Members are from Guthrie, South Logan County, Crescent, Edmond and Oklahoma City.
Families are chosen for a variety of reasons such as extreme financial hardship due to loss of employment, loss of parent(s) during the current year, catastrophic loss such as house fires, etc.
This year the event will take place inside Wal Mart, on December 17th, at 6:00. Santa Claus will be on hand along with cookies and drinks.
The police department is asking for assistance to make this project a tremendous success.
