The Guthrie Police Department is celebrating the success of its Annual Guthrie FOP Softball Tournament, where six teams braved the challenging weather for a day of fun, fundraising, and friendly competition.
Taking home the top honors were The Soft Serve, crowned this year’s champions, followed by Swing and Sling, who claimed second place. Despite the less-than-perfect weather, the event proved to be a big hit with players and spectators alike.
The Guthrie PD team might not have brought home a trophy, but they earned plenty of laughs and memories on the field.
The department offered a special thank-you to Benny from Swing and Sling and John Kane for their help organizing the tournament. “We can’t wait to do this again next year,” the department said.
