Emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon between Guthrie’s two interstate exits that left a semitruck and trailer hanging over a guardrail.
The collision occurred just after 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 near Industrial Road.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office was first to arrive, followed by Guthrie EMS and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Witnesses reported that the impact was so strong it could be heard from a nearby residence.
Traffic in the southbound lanes was slowed for about 20 minutes before vehicles were gradually released. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported at the scene.
A wrecker service was called to remove the semi from the guardrail, while troopers worked to investigate the crash.
OHP has not released any additional details.
