Location. Location. Location.
When Meridian Technology Center decided to expand its footprint and build another site for its workforce and economic development training, location mattered. The Board of Education and school administrators wanted a place that was accessible to residents of the entire district, a location that had space for future growth and a place that would be convenient for hosting large conferences and training events.
They chose Guthrie.
The Guthrie and the Logan County area continue to experience growth. Residents have strong ties to the community. They want to showcase why they chose Guthrie and want to tell you why you should, too. Guthrie city leaders and residents believe everything you need for success can be found here.
We believe it, too.
The South Campus will officially offer classes beginning March 21, but we’ve already welcomed guests to campus. In February, we hosted the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet. We’ve also held a networking event for entrepreneurs from the Oklahoma City metro area and beyond. Looking back, it is fitting that our first events allowed us to showcase our space to members of the Guthrie business community and entrepreneurs from across the state. These groups represent the “why” behind the South Campus.
When you’re planning your next workplace training event, we invite you to choose us as your location. Located just two miles off of I-35 in Guthrie with easy access from the interstate, our spacious facility is perfect for conferences or meetings, whether regional or statewide. Our flexible meeting space, combined with outside catering options makes the South Campus an excellent choice.
Our exhibit hall can accommodate up to 250 guests in our largest space, which can also be separated into four smaller breakout rooms that can be combined in various formats ranging from 20, 40, 80, 120 or more attendees. In addition, small board rooms and training rooms are available. This offering accommodates a variety of events, including conferences, business meetings, seminars and job fairs. Each room also comes equipped with audio/visual equipment, whiteboards, wi-fi, a sound system and a podium.
We look forward to hosting Guthrie community members on our campus and others from around the state who may be looking for a flexible, functional venue with quality service and support. When event planners choose Meridian’s South Campus, they are also choosing other Guthrie businesses.
The South Campus is partnering with local businesses to provide services to support events taking place in the facility. Meridian will be using approved caterers and vendors as part of this process. Vendors might include audio and visual providers, lighting, décor, florists, rentals, photographers and more. Approved caterers have access to our kitchen facilities and equipment during the event.
We invite you to attend our Grand Opening festivities on April 6. The South Campus will host the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce Coffee at 9:30 a.m. During this event, there will be a ribbon cutting to officially mark the occasion. Meridian will host an Open House immediately following the Chamber Coffee. From 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meridian staff will be available to give tours of the facility, discuss training and programming that will be offered and answer questions. We look forward to this new era of Meridian Technology Center, and we look forward to hosting you for any meetings, training sessions or conferences.
