For several minutes, the town of Guthrie and several other towns in Logan County had a bullseye on the weather map as a tornado warning sent citizens to their shelters on Thursday afternoon.
Libby McFarland captured this lowering as it went through downtown Guthrie.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area at 1:15 p.m. before it was upgraded to a tornado warning at 1:35 p.m. as a storm began rotating in Cashion. Just two minutes later storm sirens were sounded for Guthrie and Logan County.
The lowering wall cloud never made a funnel and eventually made its way out of the county.
Guthrie officially recieved .13 of an inch of rain while northern parts of the county received over an inch (1.11).
There were no injuries reported and no significant power outages for the county.
Storms are likely again on Friday.
