The City of Guthrie will be offering tours of the Guthrie Water Treatment Plant beginning this week.
The tour of the $10 million facility will let citizens take a look behind the scenes of how the water is treated and what goes into the process.
This division is responsible for the production of a safe, pleasant tasting drinking water with an abundant supply to meet the demands and provide fire protection throughout the City of Guthrie’s distribution system. Water quality is monitored and treated to meet state and federally-mandated regulations.
Tours are set to begin at 3 p.m. on Thursdays. The plant is located at 1113 S. Division.
