One of Guthrie’s busiest intersections was shut down for several minutes on Thursday afternoon after a truck caught fire.
At 2:10 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Division St. and Noble Ave. for the vehicle fire.
The truck, which was in the northbound turn lane, erupted into flames from underneath the hood.
The driver attempted to put the flames out with a fire extinguisher, but was unable to do so.
The Guthrie Fire Department quickly knocked the flames out.
The truck, which appeared to be totaled, was towed from the scene and the roadway was back opened at 2:40 p.m.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
