A man was flown to a Oklahoma City hospital Tuesday afternoon after rolling his vehicle into a pole and ended up with an electrical line on top of his pickup truck.
The driver somehow lost control of his truck and ran off the road way near the intersection of Charter Oak and Midwest flipping the truck onto the top of the cab.
The man, who is described in his mid 30’s, was conscious but not coherent at the scene.
The accident occurred after 4:30 p.m. with crews from Guthrie and Woodcrest arriving to the scene at 4:56 p.m. Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Logan County deputies were also dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews were unable to remove the victim from the truck due to an electrical line laying across the vehicle. The line turned out to be a neutral line and was not hot, but crews were forced to wait until OG&E confirmed the wire was safe.
The victim, who was pinned underneath the dashboard, was airlifted to OU Medical Center with an arm injury with possible head injuries.
