Two people arrested after early morning raid

For the third time in 23 days, law enforcement served a search warrant pertaining to narcotics. The latest search came early Sunday morning on Guthrie’s east side resulting in two arrests.

Search WarrantThe Guthrie Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Office issued the warrant in the early morning hours at 206 E. Mansur.

Due to a report of weapons, the Special Response Team was used for the raid.

An informant gave authorities information about suspects selling drugs.

Once inside the home, officers found prescription drugs, methamphetamine, marijuana, a hand-gun and surveillance equipment during their search.

Deshawn Tyree Mitchell, 25, and Gina Brooke Mitchell, 19, were arrested on multiple charges, including possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) with Intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school or park, maintaining a dwelling for selling CDS, receives and conceals, or engages proceeds from CDS, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of CDS within 1,000 feet of a school or park, or in the presence of a child under 12, concealing stolen property, use security equipment during commission of a felony and possession of drug paraphernalia.
