Updated on Sept. 2 at 12 p.m. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports two men were pinned between two vehicles on a county roadway resulting in one person being air lifted from the scene and another by ground.
Colton Dale Loyd, 24, of El Reno and Daniel Eugene Welch, 37, of Yukon were taken to nearby hospitals and admitted in good condition with leg injuries.
According to the report, a 2016 Dodge pickup pulling 10 foot box trailer and a 2016 Ford F250 were parked eastbound in the roadway (on Camp Road) at the bottom of a hill. A 1999 Peterbilt semi-truck came over the hill and came to a stop in the road. A 2000 MAC truck was unable to stop and struck the semi-truck forcing it into the trailer where the two men were standing behind.
Both were pinned for five minutes until the semi-truck was able to move.
The trooper lists the cause of collision as “vehicles stopped in the roadway.”

Two people were taken to Oklahoma City hospitals after they were hit by a truck on a county road.
Emergency responders were dispatched to Camp Road, approximately a mile west of Broadway, after two men were hit by the truck at around 11:10 a.m.
It was not exactly known at the scene, but the men were hit from behind. Both suffered multiple injuries, including to their legs.
Several pipeline workers were seen working in the area, but it was unknown if the workers were involved.
One victim was air flown from the scene and the other taken by ground.

These roads are getting horrible out here with all the construction, pipelines ect. Alot of areas you cannot pass a vehicle, both cannot fit on the road without entering a deep ditch. Its getting bad. I hope we can start to get more funding for all the damage being done to our already worked over dirt roads.
