United Way of Logan County Kicks off annual campaign to raise $165,000

United Way of Logan County kicked off its annual campaign and announced this year’s campaign goal to raise $165,000 for 10 Partner Agencies providing health and human services to Logan County residents.

Dana Hornbeck, 2020 United Way of Logan County campaign chair, announced the goal together with Billy Clark, 2020 United Way of Logan County Pacesetter chair, through a virtual campaign kickoff video.

“Our Annual Campaign Kickoff is a time when normally we’d get together to celebrate our community and launch the fundraising campaign for our partner agencies that support and care for Logan County residents,” Hornbeck said. “However, due to COVID-19, things will look a little differently this year.”

Hornbeck continued, “This year, our community needs our support more than ever. United Way Partner Agencies are serving an increased number of people needing services and we plan to raise as much money as possible to help meet the needs of our Logan County neighbors.”

Billy Clark announced that 10 Pacesetter organizations hosted United Way campaigns over the summer and have already raised $45,000 toward the annual campaign goal. Pacesetters are organizations that run workplace campaigns early, setting the tone for the rest of the fall campaign.

“Over the past five weeks, these organizations have worked diligently to raise money for our community,” Clark said. “This is a great start to reaching our 2020 campaign goal.”
