Tuesday, September 10th at 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion Building in Guthrie will be the date, time and place of the annual Kickoff and Thank You Celebration for the United Way of Logan County.
Jessica Eaves, United Way Coordinator, is excited to have a wonderful program and message for the kickoff.
Jessica says, “we would like to invite everyone to this kickoff and celebration. Come join us for a hot dog or a hamburger “on the house” and see and hear what the 10 partner agencies are doing to help the citizens of Logan County with the resources that are contributed through the United Way efforts.”
Don Hardin, this year’s Campaign Chair will be announcing the campaign goal and D.W. Converse, Pacesetter Chair, will tell us the results of the “pre campaign”.
Steve Gentling, United Way President, said “we are very excited about this year and proud of the great group of volunteers who are the engine that really moves our organization along the path to a stronger community and enhanced life styles for many of our citizens. We are blessed with a dynamic Chair, a visionary Board of Directors, and magnificent partner agencies which provide the services to those in need”.
Don Hardin noted, “your contributions though the United Way positively impacted about 15,000 residents of Logan County last year. This year the needs are even greater. Please join us for lunch and also join us in our mission of creating a better environment to live. Join us in helping our neighbors and friends who have unmet needs. Join us in making Logan County stronger.”
Eaves added “One gift — your gift — touches many, many lives.”
