United Way of Logan County is now in their first stages of the 2016 campaign to help contribute to 10 partnering agencies throughout the county. These agencies are on the frontline helping residents of the community live a healthier and happy life.
The Pacesetter campaign is officially underway with the annual Kick-Off set for Sept. 14 inside the American Legion building beginning at 11 a.m. The Pacesetter campaign started on Wednesday at the Guthrie Chamber Coffee and runs through August.
BancFirst, once again, is playing another big role for United Way and announced they’re sponsoring an autographed basketball of Oklahoma City Thunder’s Steven Adams basketball for someone to take home and frame.
Anyone in the community can go into the bank, located at the intersection of 1st Street and Oklahoma Ave., and purchase a ticket for $1 to be entered into the drawing with all proceeds going to the 2016 campaign. The winner will be announced at the Kick-Off.
The 10 agencies, include American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Girl Scouts, God’s Food Bank, Logan Community Services, Logan County Council on Aging, NorthCare and Guthrie YMCA.
