Some students may have been delayed getting to school on Monday morning after a two-vehicle accident on Guthrie’s east side.
Emergency personnel responded to the accident at Hillcrest Ave. and Pine St. just before 8 a.m.
Details were not exactly known at the scene, but it’s believed one vehicle was southbound when a second vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign when attempting to make a turn.
The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway.
The vehicles received heavy front end damage and needed to be towed from the scene.
The intersection was blocked off for several minutes by members of the police and fire departments.
There were no significant injuries reported at the scene.
