The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is hosting a public hearing in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to discuss proposed improvements to State Highway 33 bridge over Cottonwood Creek and BNSF Railroad in Guthrie.
The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. on May 8 at the Oklahoma Sports Museum, 315 W. Oklahoma Ave.
Proposed improvements include replacement of the existing bridge, improvement of the vertical sight distance, reduction of road closures due to flooding on SH-33, and widening the bridge to 4-lanes. The public will also be allowed comment on the Environmental Assessment (EA) of the project.
Copies of the EA are available at the Guthrie Public Library, ODOT Division 4 Headquarters, and ODOT Central Offices, or online at http://www.okladot.state.ok.us/meetings/other.php.
