Video: Logan County officers sworn into office

For three county officers they have been there and done that, but for newly elected Logan County Sheriff Damon Devereaux it was his first time to take an oath of office for Logan County.

Inside a packed Logan County Courtroom on Tuesday morning, County Clerk Troy Cole, Court Clerk Cheryl Smith, District 2 County Commissioner Mike Pearson and Devereaux were sworn in by Associate District Judge Luke Duel.

Judge Duel requested Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals Judge and former Logan County Judge Robert L. Hudson to be a part of the swearing in proceedings.

For Cole and Pearson are beginning their third term and Smith starts her first full term after being appointed to the position in early 2016.
